What is FirstEATS?

FirstEATS is an online takeaway directory connecting eateries with hungry foodies at home. Created as a community project by the team at First Table during New Zealand's Covid-19 lockdown, it's a free-to-use platform to help Kiwis support local hospitality businesses.

How can I #supportlocal when ordering takeaway?

FirstEATS is all about helping Kiwis find local options for takeaway food. By using our directory, you can easily find eateries in your area and order through their preferred pick up or delivery channels. There’s no doubt there’s going to be some tough times ahead for the hospitality industry, so by ordering direct, you’re helping give 100% of the profits to a business owner.

How do I order?

Simply search by city for pick up and delivery options or toggle on the map to quickly find a nearby venue. Each eatery has their social media handles, contact information and online ordering systems listed to make it easy for you to order. 

I’m an eatery – How can I get started?

It's free and easy to add your venue. Simply fill out this online form and include your preferred pick up and delivery information. If you have any questions about your registration, contact us here.

I’m an eatery – How do customers order takeaway from FirstEATS?

You choose how you would like to receive takeaway orders. If you’re all set up for takeaway at your venue, enter your online ordering system or if you’re using a third-party delivery app, then provide this link when registering your business.

I’m an eatery – How are you promoting hospitality businesses?

We’re promoting your venue for free on our directory and social media channels. If you’re keen for some extra exposure, get in touch with our marketing team to discuss ideas (hello@firsteats.nz).

I’m an eatery – How do I update my information?

If you’ve already signed up to FirstEATS and need to update your details or provide additional information, please email our support team on support@firsteats.nz.

I’m an eatery – How do I delete my listing?

We're aware that many businesses pivoted to offer takeout as a means of earning revenue during Covid-19, so if you’ve reverted to dine-in only, please email our support team on support@firsteats.nz to remove your listing.
