Our Land Is Alive

A wholehearted celebration of what makes New Zealand New Zealand, Our Land is Alive is calling all diners to appreciate the country's plentiful seas and pastures that bring us so much joy and life.

It makes perfect sense that they have created a sanctuary in which you can leave behind the stresses of the everyday and calm your mind with soothing sounds, sights and tastes. If the weather is bright, the outdoor patio is alive with dreamy dapples of sunlight with native greens standing tall against cooling slate. Inside, it's cosy and luxurious. Beautifully upholstered leather seating stands adjacent to marble-topped tables; it's the picture of subtle sophistication.

Everything you eat here is local. Some of it, like the Waiheke oysters, need a small boat ride to get to whilst others, like the northland pulled pork, is just a short drive away. So, get your mitts on some beef croquettes with aged gouda cheese, vegan cauliflower bites, and green lip mussels from Marlborough.

Bigger eats include some seriously sumptuous sandwiches which are oozing with beef short ribs, Cordis blue cheese and wagyu beef burgers from Canterbury. As for fresh seafood, local market fish is landed in the house signature beer batter for the ultimate fish & chips and other gems from the daily catch are tossed into a piping hot Fisherman's Pie. One really can't help but agree that Our Land (really) is Alive!
