After spending 16 years in ĹŚtepoti, Sri and Vinu decided to follow their culinary passions and create a dining experience that honours the origins of South Indian delicacies. Rooted in the love and authenticity of South Indian comfort food, Dosa Etc aims to make its customers feel at home, thousands of miles away from India.
Dosa Etc prides itself on offering a delectable array of dosas, from traditional favourites like the masala dosa to innovative flavours like mint masala and chilli cheese. While South Indian comfort food forms the foundation of the restaurant's menu, the introduction of two skilled chefs from India has expanded the offerings beyond idli, dosa, vada, and South Indian thali. Savoury snacks like onion samosas and onion pakodas complement the house-made masala tea and hand-pulled chicory-laced filter coffee. The restaurant also boasts Indo-Chinese fusion dishes, combining Indian flavours with Chinese cuisine.
At Dosa Etc, everything is made in-house and in small batches, meticulously following traditional recipes handed down through their families. From soaking the lentils and rice to frying the vada, every step is taken with love and passion for the nostalgic flavours of their heritage. The dosas, idlis, and vadas are prepared using rice and lentils naturally fermented to ensure gut health and gluten-free options. The menu is entirely vegetarian, with most items available in vegan variants.
